CTDL 168: Fishy diets

Sorry, that headline pun was worse than usual.

Researchers from Glasgow University observed that fish given a “binge then diet” food regime had a reduced lifespan of up to 25%.
Their study compared the growth rate, success of reproduction and lifespan of stickleback fish.

I’m not sure the stickleback fish is the most accurate way of running a test, but it makes sense that the crash dieting might cause some long term biological problems.
